This position reports to

Your role and responsibilities

Mission Act to establish safety, quality, productivity and best operation efficiency in the value chain Improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment across the local business Address technical issue of ABB product required by customer via local ABB Instruct and build up proper operation and maintenance with training, document Find root cause for product and process to improve with Lean Six Sigma approach Organizational belonging & major relations Quality Assurance Group in PDP-GSC, RAAU Collaboration with R&D/ Production/ Laboratory team and relevant group in Shimada Align global ABB team including Field Support Engineer, Project Manager, Customer Service Back End group, Logistics and Storage team Role 1. Technical Support - Support customer to operate PixelPaint (*1), Atomizer (*2) safely and efficiently - Take inquiry of customer and ABB Field Support Engineer to answer questions - Plan and implement test of validation and reproduction with appropriate group - Visit customer or local ABB to investigate at site to find root cause - Analyze data efficiently and speedy with low cost - Report to customers with document via local ABB and Global team - Train customers and local ABB to prevent from reoccurrence of issue - Roll out permanent solution for relevant product and process - Build up good relationship with Field Support Engineer, Project Manager, and Customer with global/local ABB network - *1: PixelPaint is high resolution painting applicator of inkjet system. It realizes that zero overspray eliminate the complexity of two-tone application and significantly increase the productivity with reduction of waste of paint. *2: Atomizer is a series of electrostatic paint spray device to be able to control of spray size. There are several types of product to apply for a variety of shape like car body surface in Automotive area. 2. Improve ABB product and support process - Follow support process of Warranty, SI (recall), Reporting with Quality Assurance team - Suggest improvement action for product and process to optimize productivity - Collaborate partners and suppliers to find best solution and proposal for next level 3. Keep brushing up skill and knowledge of product and technology - Learn Lean Six Sigma method to find systematic approach with academic basis - Participate in technical meeting to catch up with updated information - Improve countermeasure quality for all issues - Instruct and advice to be common tool for all activities of improvement process

Qualifications for the role

  • College/University degree (Electrical, Software or Engineering area are preferred)
  • Experience of robot programming by Python or simulation is preferred
  • Experience of painting area of automotive industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with international environment
  • Acceptable for business trip internationally
  • Acceptable to use English and Japanese in business situation
