PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Uses specialized electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and gas analyzing devices and analog and test equipment.
- Designs and constructs special test equipment and coordinates tests of systems and equipment.
- Analyzes test results and recommends corrective action when required.
- Uses, reviews and recommends revisions to procedures, prints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals and other documents as required.
- Recommends designs, design changes, and installs modifications to power plant protective, monitoring, and control systems.
- Coordinates activities with other plant personnel, work groups and vendors.
- Perform tasks inside radiologically controlled areas.
- Maintains a level of qualifications as required by applicable ASTM and ANSI standards, and site training programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- AND ONE of the following: Associates degree or equivalent in Electronics OR
- Specialized training in power plant instrument operation and maintenance OR
- 2 years as an instrumentation and controls technician in an industrial facility OR
- Applicable military Electronics maintenance experience/ Navy Nuclear Electronic Technician experience OR
- Must meet ANSI requirements.
- Satisfactory completion of Technician Occupations Selection System Test.
- Must meet requirements of NRC psychological testing regulations.
- Must satisfactorily complete radiation safety training, including respirator qualifications.
- Must be able to qualify for performance of inspections for functional and surveillance testing in accordance with applicable ASTM and ANSI standards.
