Vestas Research & Development (R&D) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within R&D, you'll find our department, Performance Testing, as part of Engineering Operations.
Our department is comprised of 23 experienced engineers and specialists based at our headquarters in Aarhus. Our team supports the whole Vestas organization by utilizing our knowledge and skills in Loads, Power Performance, Grid Compliance, Noise & Vibration, Power Electronics testing, and data acquisition systems.
Responsibilities
In this role, you'll have an integral part in enhancing our teams' capabilities with Loads & Power Performance testing of our products and technologies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a good technical foundation coupled with good communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Execute Loads and Power Performance verification programs of prototype turbines and technologies
- Analysis, quality assurance and reporting of the measured data from wind turbines
- Ensure quality and deliverables from test institutes
- Present, explain and advise design owners on the measured results
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of analysis capabilities
- Contribute to the strategic development activities
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a good technical foundation coupled with good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Master's degree in wind, structural or mechanical engineering
- Proficient in Matlab/Python, data processing and analysis
- Experience with load verification or load measurements on wind turbines
- Knowledge of DS/EN IEC 61400-12,61400-13 and 61400-50 and wind turbine certification processes
- Wind field measurements using met mast, nacelle or ground-based instruments, e.g. lidars, sonics, etc.
- Understanding of the full measurement chain, including sensors, data acquisition, processing, and measurement uncertainty estimations
- Potential to guide in a Tech Lead role and support others in a team of engineers and technicians
- Fluent in English, verbally and in writing, Danish is beneficial
