The Solar Quality Technician serves as a resource to the project team in areas of project delivery, safety, constructability, solar technology, workflow and sequencing, and proper installation techniques. This position supports solar cell and module product reliability and quality control engineering in accordance with company and factory policies and procedures. A high attention to details is a must-have for this role.

The Solar Quality Technician serves as a resource to the project team in areas of project delivery, safety, constructability, solar technology, workflow and sequencing, and proper installation techniques. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with project teams to develop job specific quality plan (JSQP) documents
- Verify construction activities are performed in accordance with the contract specifications and drawing requirements through preparatory planning, inspection, and record creation and review
- Perform sample test plans and monitoring of daily and weekly production runs to ensure on-going quality and reliability stability under guidance of Pepper Energy Engineering Department
- Perform incoming receiving inspection on raw materials received from suppliers for use in solar module production
- Perform outgoing inspection on finished product and sample auditing on a daily basis in order to maintain quality control of finished product
- Completes data collection or test reports on product reliability and quality performance as assigned by Pepper Energy Engineering Department
- Participate in education and growth opportunities to maintain awareness of current trends affecting solar and quality
- Participate in coordination and evaluation of project mock-ups
- Review field installation; photographing and discussing work in place with the project team and documenting and recommending any corrective work
- Must be available to travel as needed to visit sites and meet project team needs
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelors Degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, etc. a plus
- 2-5 years experience preferred in construction management or engineering.
- Strong background understanding Construction Documents and Submittals
- Experience with ASTM standards and knowledge of construction testing procedures
- Experience in all construction trades related to solar, especially mechanical and electrical scopes
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Excellent problem solving skills with a strong curiosity for how things get built
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to visit and work within an active construction site
