NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for an E&I Supervisor, this position is with our client, who are a the developers of a major energy project in Liege, Belgium. This is a long-term contract position.

MISSION

Development of a new Utility Scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Navagne (Visé).
In order to reinforce its site construction team, we, as Delegated Developer of the BESS project is looking for a E&I Supervisor.
During site preparation works, the E&I Supervisor is the Delegated Developer full time representative on site, and coordinates all electrical and instrumentation activities. He reports to the Construction Project Manager and his appointed Deputy during site preparation works.
The E&I supervisor coordinates and monitors Contractor’s electrical and instrumentation activities during the Electro-mechanical construction phases, commissioning and final handover. Mostly working on the field, he verifies that the quality of the works fulfills Contract’s requirements, check that work progress is in line with the Contract schedule and that safety of staff and equipment remains the first priority of the Contractors.  

LIST OF TASKS

General activities:

• Actively support and apply the Project Health and Safety policy and procedures to achieve Zero Harm 
• Is responsible for Overall Quality control, supervision, planning, reporting, advising and troubleshooting for activities related to Electrical & instrumentation works.
• Assists Site Inspectors whenever possible during Inspection.
• Takes part to the organisation of construction and commissioning activities on the domain by supporting the Site Construction Manager and commissioning engineer.
• Performs a preventive risk analysis approach on the E&I domain to identify potential design and/or construction errors and potential optimizations before they are erected to ensure a smooth Change Request process if needed
• Gives all relevant input necessary to the elaboration of the Review Sheets, the Technical Queries instructions, the Change Requests, the Non Conformance Requests and to the contract management.

Site activities:

• Reviews of shop drawings, method statements risk Assessment (MSRA), Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and E&I Procedures
• Reviews of P&ID, Instrument Specification Sheet (ISS), Instrument Data Sheet (IDS), Instrument Installation Sheet (IIS).
• Monitors day to day activities of EPCM Contractors and its subcontractors. Reviews the QA/QC Documents provided by EPCM Contractors.
• Implements of Inspection Test Plan (ITP), and method statements, risk assessment (MSRA) on Site.
• Inspects materials, products, and work in progress to conform with project standards and requirements.
• Supports the monitoring of the Project schedule / Progress on the field, by giving precise insights on the E&I activities advancement.
• Supports the coordination with engineers, designers, and coordinating meetings with consultants & contractors.
• Attends to the daily progress meeting with the main contractor.
• Participate and reports on the weekly Site Meeting
• Gives daily progress report to Construction Project Manager and his Deputy.

    EXPERTISE

• Technical experience E&I in large industrial infrastructure project
• Minimal 5 preferably 10 years of similar experience,
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Good knowledge of French and English.
