Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Solids Control Technician Level 3 is responsible for independently troubleshooting shakers, centrifuges, dryers, and augers, as well as conducting preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of chiller systems. This role requires a high level of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site customer interaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure correct installation of solids control and auxiliary equipment at various locations.
  2. Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, including centrifuges, pumps, shale shakers, mud chillers, and other solids control equipment, both in the workshop and on-site.
  3. Maintain clean and orderly conditions in equipment, work areas, and living areas at all times during operations.
  4. Diagnose and repair complex malfunctions in chiller and associated control systems, particularly those used in NOV mud chiller systems.
  5. Complete operational and safety checklists as required by the operations department and/or customer.
  6. Report and document any loss or damage to equipment or parts to the area supervisor during each move.
  7. Maintain a daily report of operational activity at each location and submit it to the area supervisor.
  8. Adhere to safety and environmental protection policies established by the company and our customers.
  9. Perform laboratory tests for solids analysis to ensure proper equipment functioning.
  10. Maintain control, follow-up, and order of QMS and/or project documentation.


Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree in mechanical systems, air conditioning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience with chillers, preferably in York/JCI systems.
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other external contacts in a professional manner.
  • Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with PCs and the ability to program chiller-related software.
  • Oilfield experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and supervisors.
