Job Purpose:

The Machinery Control Engineering Specialist will provide expert support in machinery control systems to help achieve department objectives and contribute to company strategy. This role will function as a Subject Matter Expert and Technical Authority in the machinery control area.

Job Context and Challenges:

• Operate in a technical environment with interactions with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary tasks while providing specialized expertise in machinery control systems.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

• Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with company safety, health, environmental, and quality policies and standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide support for machinery control system engineering to meet division strategy, including design reviews and troubleshooting.
• Define and implement programs to ensure critical control systems meet high standards for reliability, availability, and cybersecurity.
• Develop best practices and recommend initiatives for performance improvements in the machinery control systems.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert and Technical Authority in machinery control systems.
• Manage work plans and schedules, ensuring tasks align with KPIs and are completed effectively.
• Provide technical input to other disciplines to support their business objectives.
• Supervise the activities of contractors, consultants, and service providers, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Mentor less experienced engineers in implementing company integrity and reliability systems.
• Develop competency development plans and mentor local employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Experience and Knowledge:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in an oil and gas environment.
• Experience with turbo machinery control applications (e.g., GE, CCC, or Triconex).
• Knowledge of relevant international standards (IEC, ANSI/ISA, API RP) and their application.

Skills:

• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in a variety of engineering software tools and computer literate.
