Are you ready to take on the role of Measurement Technician III for a major client in the oil and gas industry? As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing measurement systems and ensuring their accuracy and reliability. This is a full-time contract position with the potential for extension, located in Baker, Montana.
Role Overview
- Install, maintain, and calibrate measurement equipment to ensure accurate readings.
- Install and maintain radio equipment and ensure communication uplink.
- Participate in orifice/ultrasonic/turbine/Coriolis measurement, AGA Measurement Standards, Fisher ROC/ABB configurations, Radio communications, and hydrocarbon sampling for analysis.
- Commitment to safety culture and environmental standards.
- Set process controls in both the field and processing plants.
- Maintain, calibrate, and perform testing and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic tests on RTU equipment.
- Test calibration and troubleshoot transmitters on communication equipment.
- Install/test flow transmitters in the field.
- Test and check moisture content, gravity, and CO2 of gas.
- Candidate preferred to have experience installing and maintaining Fisher ROC's and ABB gas measurement equipment and WinCCU software.
- Previous experience in a closely related position and/or industry experience.
- College degree required. Comparable experience is acceptable.
Skills & Qualifications
- Analytical Measurements: Ability to analyze data and make accurate measurements.
- Operator Background: Previous experience working in an operational role.
- Operational Strategy: Understanding of operational strategies and how they impact measurement systems.
- Calibration (Optional): Experience with calibration of tanks, tank cars, equipment, etc.
- Tank Gauging (Optional): Knowledge of tank gauging techniques.
- Gas And Liquid Measurement (Optional): Familiarity with gas and liquid measurement techniques.
- Meter Proving (Optional): Experience with meter proving procedures.
- Temperature & Pressure Correction (Optional): Understanding of temperature and pressure correction for volumetric measurements.
- Control Charting (Optional): Knowledge of basic concepts and applications of statistics for control charting.
- Process Controls (Optional): Ability to set process controls in both field and processing plants.
- Testing (Optional): Experience with testing equipment and procedures.
- Troubleshooting (Optional): Ability to troubleshoot issues with measurement systems.
- RTU Equipment (Optional): Familiarity with RTU equipment and operations.
- Transmitters (Optional): Knowledge of transmitter operations and troubleshooting.
- Communication Equipment (Optional): Experience with communication equipment and troubleshooting.
- Gas Analysis (Optional): Understanding of gas analysis techniques.
- Fisher ROC's (Optional): Experience installing and maintaining Fisher ROC's.
- Winccu Software (Optional): Familiarity with WinCCU software.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Comparable experience is acceptable.
- Previous experience in a closely related position and/or industry experience preferred.
