Job Title: Inspector (Plant)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection Planning: Implement and schedule planned inspection activities, supporting repairs to ensure static equipment integrity within your designated area of responsibility.
  2. Contractor Supervision: Coordinate and supervise contractor teams to ensure compliance with company standards and high-quality service delivery.
  3. Assessment and Reporting: Conduct preliminary assessments of static equipment and piping, interpret findings, and issue detailed inspection reports using tools like Meridium or similar software.
  4. Maintenance Support: Provide inspection support for maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to company practices, procedures, and international standards.
  5. Risk Mitigation: Initiate and track inspection recommendations to mitigate potential risks effectively.
  6. Training and Development: Offer on-the-job training to internal development program (IDP) participants.
  7. Record Maintenance: Develop and maintain accurate inspection records in the data management system to confirm equipment's fit-for-purpose status.
  8. Operational Support: Support daily operations related to static equipment inspection and repairs.
  9. Equipment Management: Maintain inspection instruments, tools, and equipment, coordinating procurement for additional resources as needed.
  10. Special Assignments: Assist with specific inspection-related tasks as directed by senior team members to achieve annual goals.

Your Role:

You'll be at the forefront of field inspection activities, ensuring the integrity of static equipment in diverse environments, including remote and unmanned areas. From utilizing advanced inspection technologies to addressing challenges during shutdowns and emergencies, your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining operational excellence.

Who You Will Work With:

  • Internal: Collaborate with inspection engineers, maintenance teams, and operations personnel.
  • External: Interface with service providers, contractors, and operators to ensure quality standards.

     

What You Bring:

  • Education: HND/Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Material Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • HND holders: Minimum 4 years of in-service inspection experience.
    • Degree holders: Minimum 2 years of in-service inspection experience.
  • Certifications: API 510/570 or equivalent; API 653 as required.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge in UT, MT, PT, RT, and Advanced NDT technologies.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and inspection data management software (e.g., Meridium).
    • Awareness of risk-based inspection, corrosion mechanisms, and international codes.
    • Strong English communication skills.
