Job Title: QA/QC Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Development: Draft, review, and update QA/QC policies and procedures, ensuring they meet industry standards and organizational needs.
- Inspection Oversight: Supervise and monitor QA/QC Inspectors, Engineers, and NDT Technicians to ensure compliance with procedural requirements.
- Failure Analysis: Coordinate metallurgical failure analyses of plant and offshore components and provide actionable recommendations.
- Procurement QA/QC: Manage quality assurance during material and equipment procurement, including bid evaluations, third-party inspections, and warehouse inspections.
- Welding Expertise: Develop and approve welding procedures and ensure compliance during project execution.
- Shutdowns and Modifications: Provide QA/QC input for maintenance contracts and ensure compliance during repairs, modifications, and shutdowns.
- Audits and Reporting: Conduct technical audits on contractors and suppliers, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
- Equipment Certification: Oversee the timely inspection and certification of gas cylinders, portable tanks, and lifting equipment.
Your Role:
You will be the linchpin in ensuring that engineering, procurement, construction, and repair activities adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety. From troubleshooting complex welding challenges to shaping company policies, your expertise will drive excellence across operations.
Who You Will Work With:
- Internal: Collaborate daily with maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams.
- External: Interface with contractors, third-party inspection services, and testing laboratories to ensure seamless quality operations.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Certifications: Professional qualifications in welding, NDT, and inspection.
- Experience: At least 4 years in QA/QC roles within the oil and gas industry.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of pressure vessels, piping fabrication, welding, and NDT.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in English and computer applications.
