Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist Offshore
Job Title: Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist Offshore (O-1545-4-Q)

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist to oversee the process and piping commissioning activities during the preparation and execution phases of the Offshore Project. Reporting to the Head of Commissioning Offshore, you will ensure all objectives are safely met within the approved scope, schedule, and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage process and piping commissioning activities to achieve schedule targets with full compliance to safety standards, particularly during SIMOPS and co-activities.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities using OPERCOM® methodology and ICAPS© software.
  • Supervise vendor activities during commissioning phases, including SAT, punch list closure, and OTP.
  • Oversee test packs offshore (e.g., N2/He leak tests) and ensure commissioning spare parts and special tools are available.
  • Track progress daily in ICAPS, clear punch-list items, and ensure readiness for key milestones such as MC walkdowns, RFC, RFSU, and PSSR.
  • Provide guidance on contractor commissioning execution plans, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, codes, and standards.
  • Facilitate coordination between disciplines (construction, hookup, SHE representatives) and provide technical support to contractors.
  • Identify risks in commissioning processes, propose mitigations, and monitor their implementation.
  • Mentor trainees, attend meetings, and maintain a register of lessons learned.
Qualifications:
  • Engineering degree in Process Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in process and piping commissioning for major capital projects.
  • Expertise in high-pressure tests, helium/nitrogen leak tests, flange management, and hydraulic oil flushing.
  • Familiarity with pigging operations and offshore commissioning environments.
  • Experience in commissioning critical process equipment (e.g., high-pressure vessels, PSVs, BDVs).
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of process equipment (pumps, PSV, vessels, control valves, PID controllers, etc.).
  • Proficiency in ICAPS, OPERCOM methodology, and commissioning execution planning.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Teamwork-oriented, with the ability to interact effectively within a PMT and contractors.
