Principal Control Systems Engineer – Power Generation – Brisbane
 
About our client:
Our client is a global leading provider of engineering solutions in the energy and resources sectors. With a national footprint, international backing and a commitment to excellence in designing and commissioning resources facilities, they have achieved sustainable global and local growth. It is due to this growth that they are seeking a Brisbane-based Principal Control Systems Engineer to lead their Queensland team.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Control Systems Engineers and Technicians to deliver medium sized and large power generation projects in the main
• Oversee project design, implementation and commissioning
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, sector standards and industry regulations
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team and clients
• Meet with clients to understand their needs and to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Implement and enforce quality assurance and quality control processes
• Conduct regular reviews and audits to uphold company and team standards
• Encourage innovation within the team to increase project efficiency and effectiveness
• Join the senior Leadership Group in deciding the future direction of the business

 
Qualifications and Experience:
 
Your career history will be more control systems than electrical engineering. You will also have:

• Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience in a people leadership role within control systems engineering
• Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery on time and within budget
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Proven success in leading and mentoring a team of Engineers
• Power generation experience
