We are working collaboratively with a leading tier one mining operator, in seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Lead to join the Maintenance Infrastructure team on a 12 month project. As the Project Lead for Structural Integrity, you will play a pivotal role in implementing effective corrosion control measures on our mining site.
  
Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in developing and implementing a comprehensive corrosion control program to safeguard the structural integrity of our mining infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the current condition of mining equipment, structures, and facilities, and identify potential corrosion risks.
• Conduct regular inspections and evaluations to evaluate the corrosion protection measures in place and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage corrosion risks, including material selection, protective coatings, and monitoring systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to corrosion control.
• Review scopes, tender awards, resource loading, material planning and safety inspections of Corrosion Control tasks.
• Develop and Implement QA/QC paper work and carry out inspections or work with Third Party QC personnel to ensure a quality outcome.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the maintenance and operations teams on corrosion control methods and techniques.
• Prepare and present regular reports on the status of corrosion control initiatives, including progress, challenges, and recommendations.

Requirements:

• Qualifications in a Certificate of Heavy Fabrication
• Painting Inspector/QA Inspector Qualification (Desired but not essential)
• Project Management Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural integrity management and corrosion control within the mining industry.
• In-depth knowledge of corrosion control standards, techniques, and materials.
• Previous experience in Blasting and Painting as well as Fabrication is required in order to deliver successfully
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and interpret corrosion data.
• Proven leadership abilities to effectively manage projects, budgets, and resources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional certifications in corrosion control or related fields will be an advantage.
