Our valued client, Woodside, are looking for a Process Engineer to join their Perth based Onshore Projects Team on an initial 12-month contract.

About the role:

The Onshore Projects team delivers capital efficient projects across our onshore operating assets including the Karratha Gas Plant (KGP), Pluto LNG Park (Pluto), and King Bay Supply Base (KBSB).  The program includes opportunities and projects ranging in size and complexity, including the $4.5B Karratha Life Extension portfolio, key integrity and reliability scopes, infrastructure management, growth through additional third-party processing and projects at our Assets to support environmental emission reductions. Projects are delivered in close collaboration with our Tier 1 Engineering, Procurement, and Implementation Contractors and managed out of our integrated Project office in Perth, Western Australia.

Discipline Engineers in the Onshore Projects Engineering Team support the technical and assurance activities across the Onshore Projects portfolio. Reporting to the Onshore Projects Engineering Manager, this Process Engineering role will be primarily involved in supporting capital projects, emissions reduction and infrastructure management scopes.  There is also the potential to support decarbonisation and ORO opportunities across KGP and Pluto onshore LNG facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Manage technical integrity by ensuring the safe and consistent application of Company and regulatory codes, standards and good engineering practice.
- Develop/review/update BoD.
- Identify design requirements and case maps for projects and provide input to project scopes of work.
- Guide engineering contractors to deliver the agreed scope of service.
- Work with contractors to find fitfor-purpose solutions to problems.
- Review process engineering deliverables and provide technical feedback.
- Participate in risk reviews, e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA.
- Provide advice on technical integrity, including the use of standards, and review and resolution of TDRQs.
- Review and accept AsBuilt safety critical deliverables.
- Support Project Engineers to deliver Projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Support the Operations Readiness team, and
- Provide technical support for site-based delivery, for construction, inspection, commissioning and handover activities.

 Skills & Experience

- Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering
- Strong Process Safety mindset
- Familiar with MOC, JIRA, ALIS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder management
- Working within multi-disciplinary teams
- Prior knowledge or experience supporting the onshore gas plants (KGP and/or Pluto) preferred but not essential.
