Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise instrumentation construction activities on-site, ensuring top-quality results and project efficiency. ️
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment across platforms, topsides, and pressure vessels. ⚙️
- Ensure all construction activities meet industry codes, standards, and client specifications (AWS, ISO, API, ASTM, ASME). ✔️
- Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team, solving challenges related to welding, materials, NDE, and instrumentation. ️
- Work closely with project management to align instrumentation activities with project timelines and objectives. ⏱️
- Foster a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to HSE regulations and maintaining the highest safety standards. ⚠️
- Take the lead in testing and commissioning instrumentation systems, ensuring top-notch performance. ⚡
- Review and prepare detailed reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
- Inspire and lead the construction team, promoting effective communication and collaboration across all levels.
- Train and mentor junior staff, helping develop their skills and experience.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of activities in construction yards. ⚒️
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: HND/BTS level or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
- Certification: Welding certified to AWS CWI, CSWIP Grade 3.2, or EWIP/IWIP-C, or equivalent.
- Professional Experience: 10 years of hands-on experience in engineering or construction.
- Project Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project roles focused on instrumentation or welding supervision.
- Construction Experience: Solid experience with wellhead platforms, topsides, structures, piping, pressure vessels, and work in construction yards. ️
- Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of codes and standards (AWS, ISO, API, ASTM, ASME).
- Expertise in welding, materials, and NDE (Non-Destructive Testing).
- Familiar with international codes related to design, fabrication, and inspection.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to thrive in a multicultural environment.
- Proficient in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and email communication.
- Language: Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Training: H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET certifications required.
