You can join as R&M MMI (Mechanical, Material, and Inspection) and Civil Technician for the first Deepwater Sour Gas development in Sarawak, the Rosmari and Marjoram Onshore Gas Plant (OGP) to deliver Safe production of hydrocarbon within operating envelope, business targets, and regulatory compliances.

What's the role?

Executes accountabilities, but not limited to below, which may be included as and when required to ensure successful Operations Readiness & Assurance (ORA) processes and OPERATE phase of R&M OGP:
  • Relentless pursuit of Goal zero target with no harm to people (Personal Safety) and no Leak (Process Safety)
  • During project phase, in their new respective role, initial focus phase will be to ensure asset readiness and to support the integrated project and asset team to start up Offshore facilities and OGP safely and meeting SURU Target.
  • During operate phase, they will support safe and reliable production of Rosmari & Majoram fields to meet agreed production/emissions/discharge/HSSE business targets and drive towards top quartile R&M Asset lifecycle performance.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical, material, inspection and civil related systems/tasks. Plan and execute routine checks, servicing, and repairs to prevent equipment failures and extend the lifespan of assets, ensuring continuous and efficient operation of all systems.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct inspections of incoming materials or items to ensure they meet quality standards. Identify and document any defects or discrepancies, coordinate with suppliers or contractors to resolve quality issues, and ensure all materials and infrastructure components are fit for purpose and comply with specifications.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Support initial diagnosis and troubleshooting of issues in mechanical, material, inspection and civil, related systems/task. Use technical expertise to identify root causes of problems, coordinate with relevant teams to implement repairs, and ensure minimal downtime, maintaining continuous operations and preventing minor issues from becoming major disruptions.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, inspections, and modifications. Ensure documentation is up-to-date, easily accessible, and compliant with industry standards, providing a comprehensive history of maintenance activities and system modifications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely in advice from Senior MMI technician with engineering teams, project managers, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of systems. Effective communication and collaboration are essential for aligning maintenance activities with overall project goals, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and maintenance work is coordinated to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives to enhance MMI & Civil system processes by implementing best practices and adopting innovative solutions. Continuously seek ways to improve system performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team and encouraging feedback and suggestions for optimizing maintenance activities.
  • Inventory Management and Optimization: Monitor stock levels of materials and reorder as needed, implementing inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize storage. Track inventory, forecast demand, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels, ensuring all necessary materials are available when needed. Implement strategies to optimize material inventory levels, balancing the need for sufficient stock with the goal of minimizing excess inventory.

What do we need from you?

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Min 5 years' relevant MMI and Civil technical experiences in Offshore Oil and Gas Facilities or Sour Gas Plant or Integrated Refinery/Petrochemical plant
  • Technical/Engineering Diploma or equivalent
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia communication/writing skills, with ability to interface well with various stakeholders
