We are seeking a diligent and experienced Oil and Gas Instrument Technician to join our team.

The primary role of the Instrument Technician is to maintain, calibrate, perform trouble shooting and repair work on a variety of instrumentation and process control systems in our oil and gas production facilities.

Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, along with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics.

Oil and Gas Instrument Technicians may have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Inspect and test the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults
• Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports
• Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment
• Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications
• Consult with and advise operators
• Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Order supplies and maintain inventory
