About the Project:
Join a deep-water oil greenfield development in offshore Namibia. Currently in the FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) phase, this ambitious project is focused on Steel Lazy Wave Risers, rigid flowlines, jumpers, and subsea structures made from materials such as carbon steel, CRA-lined pipe, and duplex. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and H3SE excellence, the Venus Project aims to optimise reserves, reduce costs, and lower greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining the highest standards of technical quality.

Key Responsibilities:
As the SURF Material, Welding & NDT Specialist, you will:
  • Oversee material selection, corrosion, welding, and NDT activities during FEED, Call for Tender, and EPCI phases.
  • Review, approve, and manage contractor and supplier documentation.
  • Lead technical clarifications and evaluations during the tender process.
  • Ensure compliance with H3SE, QA/QC, and technical standards.
  • Supervise testing, fabrication, and offshore pipeline installation activities.
  • Act as the technical referent for welding and NDT matters, ensuring alignment with international standards and company specifications.
  • Provide support to the SURF Technical Manager and liaise with SPS and FPSO teams for interface matters.
  • Travel to contractor engineering sites, fabrication yards, supplier workshops, and offshore locations as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Master’s degree in engineering, with specialisation in Material Sciences or equivalent.
  • ESSA or IWE qualification, with expertise in NDT techniques such as AUT, Phased Array, TOFD, and IWEX.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in large offshore deep-water oil & gas SURF projects.
  • Strong knowledge of DNV codes
  • Positive, proactive mindset with the ability to work in multicultural teams.
