QC Supervisor EIT - Tanzania

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS are seeking an experienced QC Supervisor – Electrical and Instrumentation (EIT) to join a major infrastructure project in East Africa. The successful candidate will oversee Electrical and Instrumentation construction activities, ensuring compliance with project codes, standards, and safety protocols. This role is pivotal to ensuring quality assurance, contractor coordination, and effective execution of EIT systems within this landmark project.

Contract Type: 12-month renewable contract
Rotation: 8 weeks in-country / 2 weeks off
Location: Tanzania (Field based role)
Remuneration: Day rate, paid in USD

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Electrical and Instrumentation construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Develop and implement qualification management systems for EIT compliance strategies.
• Evaluate contractor method statements, provide technical guidance, and support construction engineering efforts.
• Oversee inspections, testing, and material handling processes to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure the proper training and competency of the EIT workforce.
• Monitor repairs, storage conditions, and maintenance of EIT materials and test equipment.
• Facilitate contractor training programs, qualification processes, and root cause analyses for non-conformance issues.
• Actively participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform technical audits, validate test results, and sign off on key quality interventions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role within large-scale construction projects, preferably in Oil & Gas or linear projects.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification combined with substantial field experience.
• Eperience working on Pipeline construction projects
• Experience working for an Oil & Gas operator
• Expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation installations, including reading technical documentation, cold and hot commissioning, and equipment installation.
• Comprehensive understanding of international codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to work with multicultural teams and analyze defect data to report KPIs and non-compliance trends.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high-quality project deliverables.
