Job Overview Are you ready to take the lead in engineering innovation? Texas Trades is seeking an accomplished Senior Process Engineer to supercharge our EPC projects-from FEED to commissioning and post-startup activities. With projects ranging from a modest $50,000 engineering effort to massive $200mm EPC endeavors, this role promises dynamic challenges and rewarding opportunities. As a Senior Process Engineer, you'll be a critical player in proposal development, estimating, and providing groundbreaking solutions to complex engineering problems. Step into the spotlight as the process engineering lead for select projects, applying advanced techniques to drive success every step of the way.

Your Role Includes:
  • Spearheading the conceptual development of project scopes and estimates for fresh proposals.
  • Selecting and implementing cutting-edge design concepts and technologies to elevate new and existing projects.
  • Collaborating across engineering disciplines to troubleshoot, solve issues, and ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Upholding compliance with corporate policies and engineering workflows within the process engineering team.
  • Leading detailed design meetings with clients, walking them through P&IDs, equipment sizing, Cause & Effect, Plot Plans, PHAs, and more.
  • Reviewing plant 3D models to verify equipment configurations, placements, and piping layouts align with process design intent.
  • Managing project budgets, keeping labor hours, equipment costs, and overall cost control firmly on track.
  • Contributing to the design, installation, and integration of cutting-edge natural gas processing and transmission technologies.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred); other disciplines considered if qualifications align.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in midstream oil and gas design and/or operations.
  • Active Professional Engineer licensure or steady progress toward achieving it.
  • Familiarity with multi-layered EPC organizations and the ability to juggle multiple simultaneous projects as a lead process engineer.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills that inspire trust with employees and clients.
  • Leadership qualities and a passion for mentoring young engineers with professionalism and ethics.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Commitment to preserving and enriching Texas Trades' unique culture and legacy.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Physical Expectations:
  • Prolonged periods at a desk or computer-balance it out with standing or property walks as required.
  • Laydown yard tours and occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds) are part of the adventure.
