About the job:
Kent is recruiting for a Senior Contracts Engineer (PMC). You will be an integrated part of the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team managing projects on behalf of Kent and our Client. You will be required to support all phases of the projects to suit the needs and requirements of Kent as well as our Client.
Skills & Responsibilities:
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

About the job:
Kent is recruiting for a Senior Contracts Engineer (PMC). You will be an integrated part of the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team managing projects on behalf of Kent and our Client. Skills & Responsibilities:
- General Responsibilities: Assist the project to meet its safety targets and advise safety improvements.
- Be a team leader, manage, and add value to the assigned project.
- Coordinate/Communicate with all disciplines, Contractor, and Client.
- Assist the Lead Contracts Engineer in overseeing contract management for projects.
- Assist the Lead Contracts Engineer in developing and implementing contract procedures and protocols.
- Assist the Lead Contracts Engineer in ensuring that EPC Contractor comply with contractual obligations.
- Assist the Lead Contracts Engineer in ensuring that all site paperwork is presented is comprehensive, neat and tidy manner.
- Assist the Lead Contracts Engineer in managing the close out of any non-conformities that may arise.
- Be both focussed and thorough and have the gravitas and professional credibility to advise senior management when something needs immediate redress together with the tenacity and drive to ensure that the necessary action is taken
- Have a good working knowledge of contracts.
- Assist the Lead Contracts Engineer in finalising tender documentation including preparation of pricing mechanism and release for tender.
- As required guide Departments on the review of the content of tender bulletin, tender clarifications.
- Participate during evaluation of tenders, commercial negotiation with tenderers and make recommendations.
- Collaborate with project teams to manage contract risks.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams on all contract matters.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Principal Accountabilities: Administer and monitor project contracts.
- Analyse and interpret contract terms and conditions.
- Identify and address contract issues and disputes.
- Liaise with legal and procurement departments.

- Qualifications & Certifications
- Have worked for at least 3 years in similar positions for an international company.
- As a minimum a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in contract management.
- Previous experience in project contracts engineering
- Communication: Strong communication skills for contract negotiation and management.
- Able to effectively communicate technical issues to peers and line manager and hold presentations to project management and Clients (written and verbal).
- Behaviour/ Core Competencies: Capability of collating, verifying and handling information and producing instructions.
- Strong communication skills for contract negotiation and management.
- Analytical mindset for interpreting complex contract terms.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in contract administration.
- Good knowledge in how to handle risks and mitigation measures.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical attributes.
- Ownership of responsibility for work.

- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
