HSE Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Area in Apodaca. You will be mainly accountable for: • Elaboration of risk analysis in operations using methodology. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in the implementation of risk controls. • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in ergonomic analysis in operations for the detection of unsafe conditions and correction through action plans for the implementation of risk controls. • Management of industrial hygiene studies for the prevention and correction of out-of-range conditions. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in the implementation of risk controls. • Management of correct disposal of infectious biological hazardous waste (IBHW) generated in the medical department. Control and registration in logs. • Management of medical equipment calibration program in compliance with the management system.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelors Degree in medical surgeon or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience in similar positions.
  • Care for employees with work-related injuries or illnesses. Diagnosis and follow-up.
  • Coordination of nursing staff for proper care and management of the medical department.
  • Care, response and follow-up to ST2, ST7, ST9 cases before the IMSS.
  • Management of nutrition and psychology services.
  • Improvement and maintenance of the health management system in compliance with ISO 45000:2018.
  • Creation of prevention campaigns.
  • Management of the staff entrance examination process. Collaboration in the recruitment process.
  • Management of incident investigation, focus on root cause analysis.
  • Management of medical records. Follow-up in prevention of staff with risk conditions.
  • Preparation of psychosocial risk analysis in compliance with regulations.
