JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for Lead Project Engineer position to join our office in Muscat, Oman for FEED project. Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all project engineering activities to ensure compliance with the relevant project management processes and procedures during FEED and Detailed Design
• Control and delivery of assigned Projects with due governance
• Support Planning and Cost Engineer in facilitating Project CTR catalogue development
• Ensure independent design reviews (including HAZOP, IPF study, operability and maintainability design model reviews, etc) are planned and carried out
• Review project high level plan for FEED and combined FEED + Detailed Design, received from Planner
• Prepare execution plan for FEED and combined FEED + Detailed Design as applicable
• Prepare 90 days plan for FEED and Detailed Design projects
• Execute, with assigned resources, technical work for FEED and Detailed Designs (designs, specifications, drawings, etc.) within designated CTR scopes
• Prepare and agree on interface management plan / register for the project
• Prepare and issue PEP including the Procurement Strategy
• Contribute to the development of execution contracting strategies that compliment designs, construction methods and operating methods along with Project team
• Approve Scope of Work for Third Party Services
• Remain engaged in design issues and decisions throughout design, construction, commissioning and start-up phases
• Participate in internal and external learning sessions organized by QMS

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years in FEED/ENGINEERING and Minimum 18+ years in oil & gas Experience
• Experience in executing at least one major Front End Engineering Design work for one major project and one small Detailed Design involving multi discipline work preferred
• Working and delivering in a multi-cultural environment
