JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Lead the material selection and corrosion control strategy for onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Conduct technical reviews of project specifications, designs, and engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend materials suitable for various operating environments, considering factors like temperature, pressure, and corrosive media.
  • Develop and implement corrosion protection systems, including coatings, cathodic protection, and chemical treatment solutions.
  • Supervise and guide a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure technical accuracy, cost control, and adherence to schedules.
  • Perform detailed failure analysis, risk assessments, and life-cycle evaluations for materials and equipment.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise in corrosion monitoring techniques and ensure implementation during project phases.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply , standards, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in materials and corrosion technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Support internal and external audits and address any findings related to materials and corrosion management.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers to build technical capabilities within the team.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years atleast 10 years in oil & gas and 6 years in FEED/Engineering experience.
  • Experience in the middle east is preferred
  • Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution
  • Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities
  • Assuring that work and project promises are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conducted
