JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood are actively seeking to hire Lead Rotating Engineer role to support growth in our expanding Oman business.

This role will be responsible for leading senior and Rotating Equipment Engineers in order to generate the relevant Rotating Equipment FEED deliverables and activities for a Mega Project and/or several Medium Projects according to DCAF requirements and ensure timely completion to the required quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create demonstrable value for customers by understanding their drivers and critical success factors.
• Provide effective interfaces and relationships within/between disciplines, and peers in other project teams
• Execute, with assigned resources, technical work for FEED within designated Cost Time Resource (CTR) scopes.
• Implement, practice and Monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in FEED office projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirements.
• Ensure own discipline engineering and design work successfully delivered and appropriate reviews conducted.
• Carry out appropriate discipline, inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering, and design work.
• Contribute to the development of execution contracting strategies that compliment designs, construction methods and operating methods.
• Capture/apply internal and external learning, including HSE improvements.
• Deliver continuously improving performance, benchmarked as top tier in the industry.
• Ensure the quality of technical work and the technical integrity, constructability, functionality, safe operation and reliability of designs.
• Contribute to excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle.
• Ensure subordinate Discipline Engineers time write correctly to the Project(s) each week.
• Participate in value Engineering , Design Reviews, HAZOP's, IPF Classifications, 3D Model review, Plot plan, etc. for the assigned projects

• Maintaining a good relationship with the client is critical to the success of the (design) project and often requires visit to the site and/or client office.
• Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.
• Demonstrate repeatability and constant improvement in projects across a broad range of geographic, technical and cultural differences. Develop / share best practices, work processes, system and tools, based on experience gained in a portfolio of independent projects.
• Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities.
• Assuring that work and project promises successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conducted.
• Establish/adopt new technology

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry
• Must have strong FEED, Pre-FEED and Detailed Design experience
• Experience in mega projects developments
