What will you be doing?

The Global Projects Centre (GPC) is Subsea 7's centre of excellence for the execution of its largest projects worldwide. The Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) is part of GPC whose main function is to support Engineering Teams and Projects.

Within the CAE department, you will be tasked to support various development jobs with a focus on coding in Python. A good base in Microsoft Excel and VBA will be highly considered as well. Your key responsibilities include but not limited to the development of software engineering tools to be integrated into our cloud based Integrated Engineering Platform (IEP).

You will work alongside both engineers and developers which presents itself as an excellent opportunity to gain new knowledge and experience. You will grow with the CAE team which is looking to expand and to support various other engineering disciplines within the Subsea7 Business.

The team at Subsea 7 is an example of diversity with various profiles who bring experience and support in Engineering, Python development and Data science.

What experience would we like you to have?

• Experience in Python or other object oriented programming languages;
• You will have a comprehensive mindset to learn software skills to develop engineering tools;
• Engineering experience with exposure to engineering software tools will be highly considered;
• You will have high appreciation in coding and automation of software engineering tools to benefit the end user;
• You will have some exposure (but not mandatory) to different development techs such as Git, YAML, JSON, Docstring;
• Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree and some experience with engineering software and the use of HPCs are highly desired;
• Have at least 2 years industry experience in engineering or software development fields;
• You will have some experience in data manipulation/handling/processing;
• A sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel is highly desired including experience in VBA;
• English is mandatory - French and Portuguese appreciated;
