SURF Riser Specialist Engineer
Deepwater Project (Paris, France & Europe)

Are you an experienced SURF Riser Specialist Engineer looking to work on a major deepwater greenfield project? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the Steel Lazy Wave Riser (SLWR) design activities for a large offshore development project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all SLWR design activities during FEED, Tendering, and EPCI phases.
• Manage contractor technical studies, documentation, and compliance with project requirements.
• Lead technical clarifications, evaluations, and approvals related to SURF tenders.
• Optimize riser configurations, interface management, and installation support.
• Ensure HSE, QA/QC, and technical integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with SPS, FPSO, and Umbilical teams to manage interfaces and risks.

Project Overview:

• Location: Paris, France (initially) (Right to Work in France/EU Required), then engineering sites in Europe during execution.
• Duration: 1-2 years (renewable).
• Project Scope: Development of a deepwater offshore field (>3000m), including steel risers, flowlines, umbilicals, and associated subsea infrastructure.

Candidate Requirements:

• Master’s degree in engineering (specialization in subsea pipelines/risers).
• 10 years of experience in offshore SURF deepwater projects.
• Strong background in SLWR design, including flexible or titanium stress joints.
• Expertise in DNV codes and standards (TotalEnergies General Specifications preferred).
• Prior experience with major SURF contractors on deepwater projects.
• Ability to work in multicultural, large-scale project teams.
• Fluent English required.
