Senior Engineer on Grid-Tied Inverter Control & Power System (m/f/d)
Your mission
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to define power system and grid-tied inverter control requirements, particularly for renewable energy integration.
- Engage with Grid Operators, Power Suppliers, and Energy Consumers to stay ahead of industry developments and provide insights through technical reports.
- Research state-of-the-art power system technologies and identify future trends in inverter control.
- Collaborate with standardization bodies to influence grid code changes and keep up with evolving standards for Solar PV and Energy Storage systems.
- Drive innovation by generating new ideas and securing intellectual property (IP).
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Your areas of expertise
We are looking for candidates with various levels of experience, from experienced engineers to senior experts. You should have:
- A Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in power generation, transmission, and distribution, including grid-tied inverter control technologies.
- Knowledge of grid stability, power flow control, inverter control, grid-forming, and protection systems.
- Familiarity with international and national standards related to Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- A track record of technology development, research, or innovation, demonstrated through publications, patents, or R&D projects.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a willingness to think outside the box.
- Fluent English communication skills (additional languages are a plus).
