This position reports to
Supply Quality Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, the Supply Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring perfect hardware quality by specification and design. This role (e.g. EMS) will ensure proper quality in production and shipment to customers. Supply quality Engineering oversees checklists and audit guidelines for supplier qualification/audits and support those in means of execution by SQEs and evaluation if needed. The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation Performance Control Platform division. You will be mainly accountable for: • Troubleshooting support to EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) • Test applied (ICT, FET, HiPot) following product specifications • Test strategy, test plan, test procedures in close collaboration with industrial Engineering Technology, P+L, P+F. Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required, electrical preferred.
- 8 years of related experience required in hardware production (EMS),
- Solid knowledge in hardware design and production
- Professional expertise in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)
- Experience with the C/C++ programming language.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with distributed control systems and/or programmable logic controllers.
- Experience developing and/or debugging hardware/software for product test equipment
- Experience with hardware manufacturing.
- Knowledge of IPC electronics standards.
- Knowledge of National Instruments LabViews.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
