This Position reports to:
Hoisting Service Manager
Key Responsibilities
• Technical Support & Maintenance: Serve as the primary contact for technical aspects post-start-up and lead the hoist system maintenance program.
• On-Site & Remote Assistance: Provide installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance support.
• Safety & Performance Inspections: Conduct audits to ensure proper operation and safety compliance of hoisting systems.
• Customer Consultation & Issue Resolution: Advise on service solutions, identify equipment failures, and recommend corrective actions.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Document service activities, suggest product and process enhancements, and uphold ABB's values of safety and integrity.
What it takes to Run what runs the world:
• Technology diploma in a related field (electrical preferred) and at least five years of experience with industrial systems.
• Knowledge and experience in mine hoist systems are valuable assets.
• Strong focus on customer needs, interpersonal relationships, and leadership in complex environments.
• Ability to write reports, communicate effectively, and work under high-pressure conditions.
• Travel & Compliance: Valid passport and driver's license required, with availability to work in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, including international travel.
