Position: Senior Instrument Technician
Role Overview:
Support Expansion Project Instrument activities for pre-commissioning, commissioning, preservation, and start-up tasks. Conduct instrument field maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, to ensure the reliability and availability of company assets.
Interview Details:
Face-to-face interviews will be held in Istanbul during the second week of May.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, preservation, and start-up of new instrumentation equipment and facilities.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on field instrumentation equipment as directed in the field and workshop, ensuring compliance with safe work practices.
- Ensure materials and spare parts are available and in good condition before starting maintenance activities, in line with the work plan.
- Adhere to maintenance procedures and ensure proper controls are in place to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide accurate records and close-out reports for all completed work as per company requirements, as requested and guided by the Foreman/Supervisor.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation field issues, as directed, and provide timely reports of findings and solutions.
- Review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), loop drawings, hook-up drawings, Instrument Index, datasheets, logic diagrams, and other documents related to instrumentation field equipment.
- Use calibrated and certified tools specific to the job type and ensure requirements for Intrinsic Safety (IS) are met.
- Participate in regular Toolbox meetings with colleagues and report all Near Misses, Incidents, and Accidents during operations by raising B-Safe and observation cards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Completion of Secondary School education followed by vocational training (TAFE).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a technician in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
