is looking for a candidate for the position of:

Renewable Energy Portfolio Optimization Specialist

Location: Katowice

Your Responsibilities:

• Supporting the optimization of the renewable energy portfolio by analyzing active participation in power system balancing, including system services markets, energy storage services, DSR, and other factors affecting the profitability of renewable energy sources (RES).
• Assisting in monitoring the development of energy storage systems (BESS) and their potential commercial applications, including data analysis and market trends.
• Managing data and analyzing the performance of the electricity portfolio, with a focus on renewable energy sources (RES), while supporting initiatives to improve energy efficiency and portfolio profitability.
• Overseeing systems and tools for optimizing the operation of renewable energy sources.
• Supporting coordination with other departments and Group companies (Group headquarters in Brussels, Paris), including the central BP Power Trading team, in activities related to renewable energy portfolio optimization.
• Assisting in executing electricity trading transactions on the wholesale market and supporting the optimization of transactions in the renewable energy sector.

Candidate Profile:

• Higher education, preferably in a technical or economic field.
• At least one year of professional experience in a similar position is welcome.
• Knowledge of electricity market mechanisms in Poland and Europe is a plus.
• Pragmatic, economic, and logical approach combined with problem-solving skills.
• Communicative level of English.
