As a Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. With your expertise and leadership, you will contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

You will report directly to our Director Advanced Manufacturing Engineer and you'll work out of our Olathe, Kansas location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact our manufacturing operations by optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your contributions will lead to increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved quality in our manufacturing operations. Your expertise will help us stay at the forefront of advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure that we deliver innovative and high-quality products to our customers. Your contributions will directly impact our bottom line and help us maintain our position as a global technology leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes for New Product Development (NPI) to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity both in product design and in manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize NPI production processes and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Apply APQP & Lean tools and incorporate new manufacturing processes into the design, such as automation and alternate manufacturing technique
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to product design and manufacturing teams
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives

U.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 7+ years' experience in advanced manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing
• Experience with data analysis and statistical process control
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

WE VALUE

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Minimum 2 years' experience in the Aerospace or Automotive industry and/or Electronics manufacturing)
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving results

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
