Additionally, you will actively engage with Quality Control colleagues, suppliers, and class bureaus to maintain and improve quality standards. Your hands-on approach will involve regular visits to the workplace to monitor process effectiveness and provide support where needed. You will be part of the Quality Engineering department and will report directly to the Manager Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee quality processes.
- Plan, supervise, and report on inspections and testing related to welding, materials, and coatings.
- Establish and manage quality plans and relevant qualification documentation both internally and from suppliers.
- Adapt the quality system to meet the needs of new customers and products.
- Conduct internal product validations and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for customers and classification bureaus regarding inspections and quality matters.
- Identify root causes of quality issues and drive corrective actions.
- Act as the go-to expert for quality-related deviations and resolutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of quality systems, Class Standards, welding (WPS, WPQR), and coating processes is a plus.
- Experience in a production environment with a focus on quality assurance.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
- Based in the Netherlands.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and a strong communicator with a team-player mindset.
