We are a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Field Service Engineer. This position reports to Field Service Supervisor and will work out of our Ashland, Virginia site.

As Field Service Engineer within the Field Service team, you will be involved in providing in-field support for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance; performing product commissioning at boat builders; and delivering comprehensive training to dealers and OEM builders.

General Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical assistance for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of marine HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct product commissioning, including system tuning and on-water trials, at boat builder locations to verify and optimize HVAC system functionality.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to dealers and OEM builders, enhancing their technical knowledge and proficiency with Dometic HVAC products.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the sales process, assist in equipment sizing, and develop HVAC build materials.
  • Assist the design engineering team in testing and validating new products through functional and field trials, providing valuable feedback for product improvement.
  • Support marketing and sales efforts by preparing for and participating in boat shows, trade events, and customer demonstrations, showcasing Dometic's HVAC solutions.
  • Assist quality management in processing warranty claims, documenting service activities, and ensuring efficient issue resolution to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about new product developments, technical specifications, and service policies to provide accurate and up-to-date support to customers and partners.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in (operational/engineering/manufacturing/etc.) environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent field experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marine HVAC systems or a related field.
  • Strong technical background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
