We are currently seeking a Thermal Lead Engineer, reporting directly to Head of Circularity and Technical Solutions to join our Process and Technology team based in Lyon Operating Center in France.

About the mission we offer you:
You will be involved in thermal exchange design of a large spectrum of technologies, including growing market of Circular Economy and Sustainable Chemicals, from conceptual development of new technologies to large scale international projects.
The Heat Exchange cell has a transverse activity through Process and Technologies of Technip Energies. It leads all studies related to thermal exchange.
As lead of the Heat Exchange cell, your missions will include :

Qualifications: Mechanical and/or Chemical Engineer
Languages: English and French, Professional
Main skills: Thermal expertise, Scheduling, Task Organization, Teamwork ability
Software: good practical knowledge of software such as HTRI
Experience: 10 years of professional experience in thermal design
Curious, Self-reliant, dynamic and reactive, you have good communication skills and you are at ease in multi-cultural environment.

As lead of the Heat Exchange cell, your missions will include :
- Managing a team of Thermal engineers (5 people max)
- Collaborating with other Operating Centers (Paris, Barcelone, Chennai, Mumbai, ...)
- Checking of Thermal Exchange deliverables from Thermal Engineers
- Preliminary sizing of all type of heat exchangers during the conceptual phase, including Plate Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers or Special types of heat exchangers
- Modelling and sizing of Shell and Tubes exchangers using HTRI software
- Preparation of Thermal Datasheets
- Check of Mechanical Drawing of Shell & Tubes Heat Exchangers from Pressure Vessel discipline then from suppliers.
- Bid analysis of other type of Exchangers.
- Specify Insulation and heat tracing.
- Provide special thermal calculations
- Participate to heat integration and other mean of reduction of carbon footprint of technologies
- Develop tools and calculation methods
- Training of junior process engineers to HTRI
