We are urgently hiring for a PERMANENT role to be based in QATAR.

Our Chemical client based in Qatar is looking to hire a "TURNAROUND PLANNING ENGINEER - Static Equipment and Piping".

Position: - TURNAROUND PLANNING ENGINEER - Static Equipment and Piping

TURNAROUND PLANNING ENGINEER - Static Equipment and Piping  ) is responsible for managing shutdown and turnaround processes for the Static Equipment & Piping section. The job holder is responsible for planning (incl. job packages preparation, scheduling, budgeting, etc.) and managing the execution of maintenance jobs in line with company standards and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance operating at an oil & gas or petrochemical company holding an Engineer position.

Required Skills:

• Static Equipment & Piping Maintenance
• Expertise in Reformer, Reactor, Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, maintenance
• Through Knowledge in Piping fabrication and Installation
• Knowledge in maintenance of valves, strainers, steam traps, Filters, etc
• Turnaround Planning
• Knowledge in scope preparation for maintenance contracts including Turnaround works.
• Maintenance Software (e.g., SAP, PMS, Primavera P6 EPPM, etc.)
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end workflow of shutdown work notifications and work order processes.
• Ensure rigorous review and quality assurance of new maintenance notifications for data completeness, adequacy, and quality. 
• Classify work correctly according to established standards and procedures.
• Perform job-site field checks in collaboration with maintenance supervisors to enable accurate planning of shutdown / turnaround notifications and work orders.
• Develop and update job plan packages for shutdown & turnaround jobs, ensuring alignment with company maintenance standards and procedures.
• Prepare detailed turnaround / shutdown schedules in coordination with Maintenance and Production departments.
• Identify and evaluate any significant additions to the scope of work and make necessary adjustments to schedules.
• Perform technical evaluation and submit shopping carts for expense materials and Equipment as per the planned packages.
• Coordinate with manufacturers during the design and manufacturing of equipment.
• Collaborate with the Materials division to ensure the availability of inventory materials to static equipment & piping turnaround jobs. 
• Support the contracting management process by reviewing criteria for vendor selection, participating in site and workshop visits, providing input for optimal contract scopes and contractor performance review.
