JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is recruiting for a Senior E&I Work Package Engineer to join our Operations APAC team in Manila Philippines, focusing on Instrument & Electrical packages within brownfield oil and gas projects.

This is an initial 3-month contract which is anticipated to be an ongoing assignment, in support of one of our key energy clients based in the Philippines.

The Role

As a Work Pack Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our brownfield minor modifications, responsible for meticulously planning and coordinating every aspect to ensure successful project execution in line with Wood and that of Client's requirement. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating comprehensive work packages that encompasses all necessary details, from scope definition, resource allocation, cost estimation, timeline and work methodologies.

The Work Pack Engineer provides engineering discipline support to the construction team from development to the construction phase. Inclusive of design constructability, supporting specially the project implementation, assuring achievement of the plan in terms of safety, quality, time and budget in compliance with Wood and Client's HSSE and technical standards as well as established policies.

The projects team focusing on delivering across FEED, Pre-FEED, Brownfield, Greenfield scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of project work in accordance with the project execution plan, including Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man-hour, cost and the project schedule targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Authoring and compilation of construction work packs
• Production of job cards or network orders
• Production of method statements
• Production of data sheets
• Interfacing with engineering design services team
• Interfacing with Client and 3rd party vendors/subcontractors
• Ensure all items or criteria required for Integrated Activity Planning readiness are identified and complied with
• Ensure all items or criteria required for construction readiness are clearly identified within the work pack
• Generate the estimated work preparation and construction/commissioning manhours and associated cost and resources including materials and equipment into Project CTR's
• Ensure all aspects of Client's Work Request Notification and Scope of Work are addressed within the work pack
• Identify increase or reduction of scope, raising the necessary support documentation with Wood or Client's Change Management process
• Interface with QHSSE Lead or officer to ensure all necessary safety content is contained within the work pack including relevant Job Hazard Analysis
• Provide technical, ethical, professional leadership, support and mentoring within the minor modification team
• Respect colleagues, clients and subcontractors at all levels, dealing with any dispute or conflict in a professional and personable manner
• Conduct Constructability/Commissioning trips/survey offshore, onshore & supply base and generate reports as required
• Conduct constructability reviews with peers, client and 3rd parties
• Provide support/assistance in commissioning, close-out, handover and start-ups
• Any other reasonable duties as specified by Line Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

• Five (10) years relevant experience
• Preferred Instrumentation/Electrical Engineer
• Experience and knowledge in other discipline like Instrumentation and Electrical is a plus job specific skills
• Be able to carry out deliverables and communicate with colleagues, client and with site - Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Maintains highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness
• Ability to synthesize complex or highly diverse information
• Ability to work effectively and prioritize workload autonomously
• Inspired and highly motivated to work well and accepts & provides feedback
• Seeks ways to improve and promote safety and quality and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
• Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and exhibits sound and accurate judgement
• Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment, materials and other resources properly
• Extremely self-motivated, excellent organizational skills combined with very good technical judgement
• Skills and knowledge and computing software like Office 365, engineering applications, etc.
