Competency Management System (CMS) Advisor
We have a current opportunity for a Competency Management System (CMS) Advisor on a temporary basis.
Expat position. 

Site based in Algeria on a mature brownfield producing asset. 

Indicative Day rate:
£ 510 (or equivalent - USD or Euros rates are on offer)

Rotation:
4/4

Start Date: 
Expected Q3 2025 

Duration:
2 -4 years  

The ideal candidate must have 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, exceptional English communication skills, and a strong background in competency development and workforce capability assurance.

Key Requirements:
  • 15 years of experience in the oil & gas sector, preferably with a operators.
  • Extensive expertise in Competency Management Systems (CMS), workforce development, and training programs.
  • Fluent in English with outstanding technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • French or Arabic proficiency is a plus.
  • Must have previous experience working on a rotation schedule in remote or offshore locations.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Competency Management System implementation to ensure workforce capability, compliance, and continuous development.
  • Design and oversee competency frameworks, assessment processes, and training initiatives aligned with industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate competency standards.
  • Develop detailed competency reports and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support long-term workforce development strategies for technical and operational roles.
