Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Flowline/Pipeline Removal to join our team on a 12-month contract based in Perth. This role falls within the Facilities discipline and requires expertise in offshore pipeline and flowline decommissioning and removal. The position operates on a 9-CWW schedule and offers a target bill rate of $1,450 per day.

The Project Engineer will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing pipeline and flowline removal projects, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute pipeline and flowline removal plans, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, HSE regulations, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate and oversee the engineering, procurement, and execution phases of pipeline decommissioning and removal projects.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, permits, and regulatory compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with offshore operations teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving during planning and execution phases.
  • Conduct site visits and offshore assignments as required to oversee project implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and control project costs, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and adherence to budget.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or a related field).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in offshore oil and gas projects, with a focus on pipeline/flowline removal and decommissioning.
  • Strong understanding of marine and subsea operations, including vessel mobilization, lifting, and subsea intervention.
  • Experience with offshore construction methodologies, diving, and ROV operations.
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian and international regulations, environmental requirements, and safety standards for offshore decommissioning.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel offshore as required.
