Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer (KZ passport holders) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our team in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- manages the project team
- provide project engineering and management services in support of existing or new plant facilities and infrastructure on single or multiple, concurrent, small capital projects for internal Company Client groups
- support and follow all Company and Client Safety & Environmental policy and guidelines and PSM processes
- develop project safety plans and monitor and promote safety at all project work locations, including Safety Audits at work location
- developing, evaluating and making formal recommendations and justifications for various projects
- developing Cost and Schedule estimates
- developing project strategies and execution plans for Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases in all disciplines
- developing Scopes of Work for Engineering, Procurement and Construction including bid package development, bid analysis and contract package development
- executing agreed-upon local content objectives
- negotiate and approve work scope changes for Engineering and Construction service orders
- developing Regulatory Approval / Code Compliance packages
- provide technical expertise in technologies, methods and processes
- being responsible for cost control and forecasting to align appropriations with approved budget
- issuing regular project Status Reports, including Cost and Schedule updates and forecasts
- follow Work Method Statement development process, including Project Team review, incorporating comments and issue via Document Control
- timely update Service Orders Log and take prompt actions to request Contracts prolongation and addition of funds
- perform Project Management functions, including: create and supplement project AFE's, weekly and monthly project status reports, cashflow forecasts, schedule updates, yearly project budget updates, stakeholder alignment meetings and presentations
- ensure proper Material Handling Process, including verification of delivered Materials
- monitor site execution progress with support from Construction Specialist
- participate in reviewing and delivering quality 3 weeks look ahead Schedule with identification of risk and mitigation measures.
- contributes to technical delivery of engineering excellence through executing assigned scopes of work, providing discipline expertise to the business, supporting and supervising task delegation to team
- uses technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems
- Completes almost any engineering tasks with minimal guidance and direction
- may serve as the primary discipline engineer or discipline technical authority on projects with small to medium complexity
- performs engineering assignments, usually representing a significant portion of a larger project
QUALIFICATIONS
- Piping/Structural background
- Offshore experience is preferable, but not mandatory
