The rate for this position is $52.26. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. As a Senior Analyzer Technician, you will be responsible for the following duties below.
Accountabilities:
- Troubleshoot DCS control Analyzer interfaces, repairing, calibrating, tuning and aligning Analyzers
- Apply Electrical Safety Rules in accordance with site and OSHA standards
- Troubleshoot, Repair, Perform Preventive and Reactive Maintenance of Analyzer systems and components including (but not limited to): Gas Chromatograph (GC), (HRVOC), Continuous Emission Monitors (CEM), Tunable Diode Laser (TDL), Total Organic Carbon (TOC), Infrared (IR), Density, Hydrocarbons, pH + ORP, Dissolved Oxygen (DO2), Oxygen (O2), Sodium, Turbidity, Chlorine, Vapor recovery systems, BTU, Moisture and Conductivity
- Write SAP notifications/work orders
- Maintain required analytical records. (Environmental/QSP/Validation)
- Participate in environmental/ISO audits as required
- Participate in analyzer maintenance team meetings
- Support new and improvement analyzer projects
- Train on new analyzers and pass training on to peers
- Partner with Operations, Engineering and Main Lab teams to resolve analyzer issues
- Support area Analyzer discipline inspectors
- Participate in Plant Start-Up activities
- Perform bending and tubing/piping connections and understand proper application of pressure rated tubing fittings
- High level of ownership and quality workmanship a necessity
- Situational Awareness and a willingness to try new approaches
- Can-Do Attitude of maintaining the plant to operate more safely and profitably
- Other tasks/duties as needed.
What we need from you
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess and maintain a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
- Must have minimum of 3 years' experience of analyzer in any industry
- Must reside within the area or be willing to relocate
- Must have knowledge of electronics
- Preferred Computer skills: MS Suite, GSAP, GCP
- Knowledge of chemistry and physics as applies to analyzer discipline
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Foster teamwork and collaborative work environment
- Must comply with Company drug-free work environment and fitness for duty requirements, including random drug and alcohol testing
- Must comply with Company safety policies and procedures
- Must comply to harassment free working environment and with Company diversity and inclusion work practices, along with working with embedded contract employees
- Familiarity with safety practices and techniques relating to the chemical industry. (e.g. LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, etc.)
- Must be willing to work in inclement weather
- Must be willing to accept callouts and meet call-out standards and willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime supporting maintenance demands as needed
- Must be willing to be trained and maintain certifications to operate motorized lifting equipment such as man-lifts, cranes, trucks, forklifts, etc. to support craft activities
- A condition of employment for this position is successful completion of a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, background check, driving record check and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future without requiring sponsorship
- Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card. Note, information regarding TWIC qualification standards may be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic
Physical Task Requirements:
- Accessing Analyzer equipment at both ground level and at elevated locations by climbing vertical ladders. This could range from small portable stepladders to multiple series of caged ladders
- Ability to lift and/or carry tools, valves, conduit, small motors etc. Weights are normally less than 25 pounds
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled area, such as column platforms, pipe racks, Operating Units, et
