QA/QC Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for the SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) Package within our client’s project in Central Africa. This role requires a dedicated professional with advanced expertise in oil and gas projects, ensuring quality compliance and effective contractor supervision. The successful candidate will be based in Paris and undertake international travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Implement HSE requirements in line with company standards.
  • Quality Management: Establish and maintain quality surveillance and management systems.
  • Inspection & Compliance:
    • Manage inspections and inspectors.
    • Attend pre-production and kick-off meetings.
    • Conduct manufacturer workshop visits and issue inspection reports.
    • Raise and manage Corrective Action Requests when required.
  • Contractor & Supplier Supervision:
    • Review and approve manufacturer and contractor deliverables (ITP, heat treatment, forging, NDE, MPS, MPQT, etc.).
    • Assess and monitor contractor reports.
    • Oversee Notification for Inspection (NFI), inspection reports, and release notes.
    • Manage NCR processes, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
    • Attend contractor audits.
  • Documentation & Coordination:
    • Supervise the compilation of Manufacturing Record Books.
    • Collaborate with engineering, planning, and procurement teams.
    • Monitor welding, coating, and NDE qualifications at contractor premises.
    • Work closely with local QA/QC teams in Angola to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Deliverables:
  • Regular reports on QA/QC activities.
  • Lessons learned documentation.
  • Close-out reports.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Extensive experience in QA/QC within the oil and gas industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance, welding, steel manufacturing, cladding processes, and valve operations.
  • Expertise in NDE, coating, and painting.
  • Certifications in NDE, coating, or quality management (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
