CBRE's Renewable Advisory group is looking for current college students, undergraduate or graduate, located in New York and seeking a career in the clean energy and renewables sector. The team partners with clients to help simplify the complexity associated with planning, sourcing, and managing renewable energy-crafting and implementing a comprehensive program tailored to each organization's energy and sustainability objectives. Helping clients meet their power needs while reducing their carbon emissions.
Participation in the internship program is intended to provide a well-rounded knowledge of the clean energy industry and valuable skills, earned by working alongside dedicated professionals in the largest and most successful global commercial real estate services firm.
The internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your career in clean energy. The program provides you with an outstanding perspective on our coordinated service lines. As a program participant, you will also partake in learning and development activities crafted especially for you.

The minimum salary for the intern position is $20.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the intern position is $25.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

What you'll do
- Conduct company, property and industry-specific research to support business development initiatives
- Assist in developing and preparing marketing and presentation materials for renewable services
- Contribute to projects aimed at helping clients transition to renewable energy sources
- Data analyzation: Review community solar customer data and analyze potential opportunities for transactions and revenue generation.
- Renewable Energy market analysis: Identify potential new community solar markets, track program changes and market trends in existing markets
- Research supply chain and other market trends to provide actionable insights
- Other duties, as assigned
What you'll need
This internship is designed for candidates with a strong academic background. Applicants should be self-motivated, creative and focused, seeking to excel in the renewable energy industry.
- Current college junior, senior, or graduate level student enrolled and attending an accredited college or university located in New York State AND/OR is a New York State Resident, with proof of residency such as rental agreement or utility bills, must have been established prior to the start of the internship. Interns relocating to New York state for the internship do not qualify.
- Strong interest in sustainability, renewables, and/or energy markets required
- Experience with MS Office
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to network and develop positive relationships
- Diligent and highly organized
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
