Wood is recruiting for a Second Year, Graduate Instrument Engineer to join its Operations APAC (West) business focusing on a major Oil & Gas brownfields Engineering Service Contract. Based in Perth CBD, this is a permanent full-time position working on a hybrid basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

Your Role

You will be reporting directly to the Lead Instrument and Controls Engineer and working across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, across some of the world's most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas.

You will be responsible for establishing detailed designs and performance specifications to fulfill the requirements of assigned general specifications for components, systems and processes, specifically.
  • Assisting in design and selection of instrumentation, control systems support electrical systems
  • Reviewing and validating instrumental control systems engineering designs and related components.
  • Addressing technical and design challenges effectively.
  • Selecting appropriate components for specific applications or projects.

You will be responsible for meeting discipline cost and schedule requirements in production of deliverables and recommending changes in plans and estimated cost when necessary.

Expected:

Hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field like instrumentation and control engineering from a recognised institution, ideally you will have a 2+ years of proven experience in either, Mining and Minerals and or O&G brownfields engineering EPCM sector in Australia.

Desirable:
  • ETAP software
  • Power system analysis
  • Hazardous area design (& inspection) competency (EEHA)
