At NOV Subsea Production Systems (SPS) in Brøndby, Copenhagen, Denmark, we are looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer to join our Pipe System Design department. In this role, you will play a key part in developing our core product-flexible pipe cross-sections-ensuring structural integrity, manufacturability, and optimal design for diverse offshore environments. Your work will directly impact global energy infrastructure and support our commitment to delivering excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze flexible pipe cross-sections, ensuring technical feasibility and structural integrity
  • Perform local and global analysis under extreme environmental and operational conditions using in-house and FEA-based tools
  • Evaluate fatigue life, failure modes, and installation scenarios to ensure safe, long-term performance
  • Collaborate across departments including sales, project management, manufacturing, and verification bodies
  • Document technical findings and support production processes, including non-conformity assessments
  • Interface with customers, installation contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring compliance with API 17J and RP 17B standards
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and innovation initiatives within the team
Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Materials Engineering
  • Experience in structural analysis and project engineering
  • Proficiency with FEA tools and programming (Python, VBA)
  • Strong foundation in mechanics, fatigue analysis, and thermodynamics
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)


Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with offshore pipeline or flexible pipe systems
  • Understanding of industry standards (API, DNV)
  • Previous experience in multidisciplinary teams or international environments
