We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer I to join our team on a full-time contract basis. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing process instrumentation and control systems in the refining industry. This is a great opportunity to utilize your expertise and contribute to the success of our client's projects.
Role Overview
- Design and engineer process instrumentation and control systems from conception to commissioning.
- Provide consulting services to process engineers and develop design specifications.
- Create operating and training manuals for mechanical and process personnel.
- Participate in training for operating personnel.
- Write purchase and construction specifications and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests.
- Specify, procure, and configure Distributed Control Systems and field hardware such as transmitters, control valves, and electronic transmission systems.
- Utilize industry standards and practices to perform job functions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in SAP - PM & PS Modules highly preferred.
- Project estimating and project engineering skills.
- Computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Projects highly preferred.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical engineering OR Associate's degree in instrumentation technology, electronics, or related field with 10 years of experience in process instrumentation design and/or maintenance.
- 5 years of experience in refining or chemicals industry as an Instrument engineer.
