This position reports to
Regional sales manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will be accountable for Service work execution according to work instructions, agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB. The work model for the role is onsite. The role is contributing to Process Automation Business Area Doha; Qatar. You will mainly be accountable for: Service delivery Performing Service tasks, identifing technical problems, and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in any Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.). Customer approach Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation. Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understanding their needs. Identifing new sales opportunities and communicates them internally. Materials and supply Coordinating, preparing, and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities. Documentation and Report Preparing all documents and reporting to be signed by the customer representative. Reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed. Troubleshooting Proactively identifing potential equipment failures and requests proactive corrective actions. Troubleshooting equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future. Operational excellence Proactively identifing suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicates them further in the ABB organization. Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service. Health, safety and integrity Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Reporting unsafe practices and incidents.

Qualifications for the role
- Knowledge & Skill
- Degree in Instrumentation/Electro Technology/Process Automation field, with 5 years professional experience in Service or in Product/System unit
- Electrical license or relevant qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of gas analytics technologies and their service requirements (e.g., Chromatographs)
- Knowledge of instrumentation service requirements
- Proven ability to work in a team or independently.
- Ability to work in high pressure and time constrained situations.
- Result-oriented
- Thinking and acting systemically, and able to prioritise tasks
- Good communication skills
- Strong customer focus Leadership capabilities
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office & Outlook.

- Ability to provide technical support and training to a wide range of ABB customers and staff
