Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Chartered Engineer status is preferred or working towards it.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in the oil and gas industry, with at least:
- 10 years in facilities design (front-end, conceptual, and detailed design).
- 5 years in project execution, including construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance (with hands-on field troubleshooting experience).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and international industry standards.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment.
- Ability to analyse and resolve technical issues related to static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and more.
- Soft Skills:
- Logical thinking and analytical problem-solving.
- Strong presentation, communication, and writing skills.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and take initiative.
- Other Requirements:
- Familiarity with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and business processes.
- Experience in managing work through key performance indicators and relevant metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for the analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to static mechanical equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, flares, filters, and other mechanical systems.
- Support maintenance, asset integrity, and operations teams with daily activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of mechanical equipment.
- Oversee and manage the Concept/FEED/EPC design work for asset development projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company requirements.
- Conduct assessments related to remaining life and fitness-for-service evaluations of mechanical equipment.
- Provide input and recommendations to major project teams to ensure technical integrity and compliance with engineering standards.
- Ensure efficient project implementation and proactive facility improvements, contributing to long-term operational reliability and efficiency.
