Essential Responsibilities:
  • Master Technician: Perform expert technical and instrumentation equipment repair work, including troubleshooting, modifying, testing, calibrating, adjusting, repairing, and installing electronic, digital, and analog equipment and monitoring devices with minimal support.
  • Technical Support Specialist: Provide top-notch electronic, electro-mechanical, or similarly related technical support for production or aftermarket repair services as assigned.
  • Problem-Solving Pro: Utilize schematics, manuals, procedures, and your deep knowledge of assigned technology, systems, and components to troubleshoot equipment effectively.
  • Calibration Expert: Ensure compliance with published specifications/procedures by performing precise calibration of test equipment.
  • Proactive Planner: Complete calibration activities ahead of schedule, run reports from the calibration database to track equipment status, and prevent overdue calibrations. Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration.
  • Hardware Guru: Skillfully disassemble, repair, and reassemble fixtures, cables, and other hardware used to test electronic products.
  • Versatile Contributor: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to excellence.


Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Education & Knowledge: High School Diploma or equivalent, 2-year electronics degree, electronics certificate, or equivalent military education/training; solid understanding of basic electronic principles and theory.
  • Technical & Software Skills: Ability to read and comprehend technical information and instructions; proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office products, including Excel and Word.
  • Tool & Physical Expertise: Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools; ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 35 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Safety & Flexibility: Willingness to work with hazardous materials; ability to work overtime as required.


Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience: At least 3 years of related job experience, including component level troubleshooting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing test equipment, cabling, and fixtures; skills in the operation, repair, modification, calibration, and maintenance of Automated Test Equipment (ATEs), both commercial and internally built.
  • Certifications: Soldering skills/certifications (e.g., J-STD-001) are highly desired.
